In barren ocean sands in Grenada, the world’s first underwater Sculpture Park honors and interact with the marine environment.
Concrete sculptures standing in barren sands include life casts of people in the local community. There’s a circle of children holding hands, a man at a desk next to a typewriter, and someone riding a bicycle. If the sand in the concrete is sand from the same location is unclear.
The park serves as an artificial reef supporting marine life. Only months after installment aquatic life made it a home.
