Random Sand Fact

Discovering a 200-year-old boat surface hidden beneath the sand is not your everyday beach find. However, that’s exactly what two dog walkers stumbled upon in Portrush, Northern Ireland.

Due to storms, the sand shifted, revealing a fishing vessel from the 19th century buried and hidden under the sand for centuries.

Archaeologists recommend preserving the boat for future generations by leaving it in its current state, allowing the sand to naturally cover and protect it once again.
