Random Sand Fact

La Brea Pitch Lake in Trinidad is the largest natural deposit of asphalt in the world. Asphalt from here has paved roads of Buckingham Palace, early roads of New York City, and is used to insulate compounds for electrical industries.

The lake’s asphalt is a mix of water, oil gas, and sand.

Beyond its industrial value, La Brea is a natural wonder.

It offers you a path to marvel at nature and mankind’s ingenuity, and maybe, just maybe, find a bit of healing along the way in curative baths in the area.
