AKIN — First Series

These are the first AKIN pieces made. Not water-resistant.

The sand is identical — 195+ nations, legally collected over six years, more than 1,000 people contributing. The story is the same. The silver and sapphire crystals are the same.

The difference is one thing: these pieces are not water-resistant. The seal in the first production run was not designed to keep moisture out. If water enters, the sand will dampen and may take weeks to months to dry — salt water in particular. This is not covered by the warranty.

The current Kinfolk is constructed differently, same piece, improved seal.

For you if:

• you remove jewelry before water anyway
• you want the story at a reduced price
• you don’t mind a piece that require a little more attention

These pieces remain available because they hold the same world. Available at a reduced price.
