On Good Friday in Bolivia, the dunes outside Oruro fill with biblical stories.
Since 2004, artists have gathered at the Arenales de Cochiraya to create large sculptures directly from sand. The subjects come from the Bible and are built over a few intense days before Easter.
The tradition has grown into an annual gathering of hundreds of artists from Bolivia and neighbouring countries.
When Easter is over, the works disappear. The dunes remain.
