On Saint Lucia, a beach is dressed in white sand from Guyana.
The beach lies between the island’s two sharp volcanic peaks. It was originally dark with volcanic sand, like most beaches in the area.
Years ago, it was covered with white sand shipped in from Guyana in South America.
Beneath the pale layer, the island’s own dark sand is still there.
