Did not try to stand out. Simply did.
Among thousands of pale grains on a beach in Fort Dauphin, one was bright orange.
Bright things do not always announce themselves.
Worn by ocean and time. The form remains.
Scanned using micro-CT imaging at a research facility and cast in 100% recycled sterling silver magnified 15× its original size.
Voam Pasika — a grain of sand in Malagasy, the language of Madagascar.
Sand is grit. Grit is sand.
The small is never small.
