Luxembourg has passed laws and set up centers for it—space mining. Beyond construction, land reclamation, and infrastructure, sand is also mined to source metals. Can an alternative be to source metals in outer space? 

As a leader in the satellite communications industry, Luxembourg aims to be Europe’s center for space mining. “Near-Earth objects”, asteroids, have significantly higher metal concentrations than any place on Earth, making space mining potentially profitable.
