Can you make a carpet from nothing but sand?

In Poland’s Kuyavia region, women once decorated floors and courtyards by sprinkling fine white sand into intricate patterns. The sand was dried and sieved before being applied by hand.

The patterns were made for Easter, festivals and visits, and included flowers, geometric forms and trees of life. Then gradually walked away.
