Built to Hold.

A grain from a beach near Adelaide, Australia. Less than a millimeter. Walked over, again and again.

Under magnification: internal architecture. A structure still studied. A fragment of sea urchin spine.

Scanned at a research facility. Magnified 26× and cast in silver.

Intricate. Structurally strong.

Wara — sand in Kaurna, a language from the Adelaide Plains once spoken in the area

Sand is grit. Grit is sand.
The small is never small.
