Grains of red garnet sand reveals a story of traveling from the surface deep into Earth, as far as Mt Everest inverted, before returning to the surface. During the journey, the grains changed and picked up souvenirs (inclusions), revealing how deep down the grains got and how long the journey lasted. (In other words, rock recycling processes within active plate boundary zones.)
