Random Sand Fact
In Venezuela, one of the world’s largest oil deposits is stuck between grains of sand.
Beneath the plains along the Orinoco River, the sand is soaked with oil so thick it flows like molasses.
But the oil does not let go of the grains by itself. It has to be heated with steam or thinned before it will move towards the surface at all.
