Random Sand Fact
In Türkiye, hot sand is sometimes used to brew coffee.
A cezve, a small long-handled coffee pot, is lowered into heated sand, which surrounds it and spreads the heat evenly. The deeper it is pushed down, the more heat it gets.
As the coffee begins to foam, the pot is lifted and lowered again, over and over.
