SunaTsubu Bracelet

kr 1 560

Grows from its own centre. Holds its direction.

This grain was found on a coral atoll in Kiribati.

Under magnification, a spiral appears. The same geometry found in shells, sunflowers, galaxies.
Here — in a grain of sand.

Scanned at a research facility. Magnified 9× and cast in silver.

SunaTsubo — a grain of sand in Japanese.

Sand is grit. Grit is sand.
The small is never small.

Description

About the Grain

  • An exact magnification of a grain of sand found Hatoma Island, Okinawa, Japan
  • Scanned using micro-CT imaging at a research facility
  • Magnified 9:1

Material

  • 100% recycled sterling silver
  • Adjustable bracelet chain with three length options
  • OUAW-engraved tag by the clasp

Size

  • Pendant 13 mm/ 0,5 in (9x enlarged)
  • Braclet chain adjustable to 16, 18, or 20 cm / 6.3, 7.9, or 8.7 in

Care

  • Wipe with a soft cloth after use to remove oils or residue
  • Polish with a polishing cloth or silver dip when needed — if using silver dip, finish with a dry cloth
  • Never wear in natural hot springs or volcanic pools — the minerals blacken silver within seconds
  • Store in the box or a soft pouch when not wearing
  • Arrange chains in loops to avoid tangling — never force or pull

Pro tip! Find the small ziplock bag under the soft insert in your box. Store your silver in it between wears — it darkens far more slowly. Not as fancy — but practical!
